Grant was a young striker who worked his way up through the ranks at Basingstoke. He appeared on the first team bench for the FA Cup games against Brackley Town and Eastleigh and made his debut in the Hampshire Cup at AFC Porchester.He made a few other appearances before leaving towards the end of the 2010/11 season, when he joined Whitchurch United.
