Joe started his career as a trainee at Chelsea before moving onto Millwall. He made over 50 appearances for the Lions before breaking his leg and finding himself unable to get back into the side afterwards.Joe joined Leyton Orient in June 2005 but never really established himself in the side and moved on to Canvey Island in January 2006. Joe has also spent time on loan at Brighton, Stockport, Crawley, Leyton Orient and Fisher during his career.After Canvey dropped out of the Conference, Joe joined Basingstoke in June 2006. He struggled to find his best form during his first season at the Camrose but still played in almost every game, including the FA Cup victory away at League One side Chesterfield.The 2007/08 season saw Joe at his best as he was named Supporters Player of the Season and also captained the side to Hampshire Senior Cup glory.The 2008/09 season saw Joe again putting in some solid performances as captain despite missing a few months through injury.Just two months into the 2009/10 season, after a new addition to his family, Joe decided he couldn\\\'t continue with his travelling commitments from Kent and he left the club by mutual consent.In early 2011, with a number of defenders out with injury, Joe re-joined the club on dual registration from Kingstonian.
