Player Profile

Phil started his career with Woking. He then played for Hendon, Leatherhead, Worthing, Kingstonian and Molesey before he joined Carshalton at a time when Ernie Howe attempted to bring him to Basingstoke.Phil eventually pulled on a Basingstoke shirt in the pre-season friendly against Southampton and was soon given a contract by new boss Frank Gray. The striker had a slow start to life at the Camrose during a tough spell on the pitch. However, as the season progressed, Phil had spells that showed why Frank showed faith in him. This was proven in February when he was awarded the Blue Square South Player of the Month award. He finished the season as top scorer with twelve goals in all competitions.The 2009/10 season saw Phil playing out of position on numerous occasions and he was eventually released in November 09.
