Ryan joined the club in 2003 and was mainly a reserve team player. He made his first team debut as a sub against Hayes in February 2004. The 2004/05 season saw him make a string of substitute appearances but he failed to secure a place in the side.After making two sub appearances during the 2005/06 season, Ryan finally made his full debut against Newport (IoW) in April 2006. However, he left the club in May 2006 despite scoring regularly for the reserves. Ryan returned to The Camrose for the 2008/09 season and was made reserve team captain. He started to make appearances on the first team bench and finally made his return to the first team with a sub appearance away at Team Bath, celebrating with his first goal in Basingstoke colours.The 2009/10 season had Ryan used mainly as an impact substitute. He was released in May 2010.
