Bio

Bernie Tanner joined Basingstoke Town in 2026 after spells with Uxbridge and Slough Town, having previously established himself at Step 3 with Enfield Town and Metropolitan Police. A centre-back, Tanner was named Metropolitan Police's Club Player of the Year for 2021/22 before later helping Enfield win promotion to Step 2 through the play-offs.

Tanner arrived at Town with that experience behind him and made his debut in the opening game of the 2026/27 season. He has since become part of the regular defensive options, featuring alongside Billy Upton during the early weeks of the campaign.
