Bio

Michael Atkinson joined Basingstoke Town in 2022, having previously been part of Bracknell Town’s title-winning side. The central midfielder quickly became an important part of Dan Brownlie’s team and was involved in another promotion-winning campaign as Town claimed the Isthmian League South Central title.

Atkinson also enjoyed success in the Hampshire Cup during his time at Winklebury, lifting the trophy twice, with the finals played at Fratton Park and St Mary’s. He finished his 2023/24 spell with 26 appearances and three goals before injury curtailed his season, then moved on to Hampton & Richmond in the summer.
