Bio

Jason Bristow joined Basingstoke Town from Reading in 1999 and quickly established himself as an important part of the side. A defender by trade, he went on to make 372 appearances over nine seasons, becoming one of the most recognisable players of his era. He was also voted Fans' Player of the Season three times.

Bristow was a consistent presence in the Town defence throughout his time at the club, with his long service making him one of the standout players of the period. His playing career eventually came to an end following a knee injury in 2009, bringing an end to a memorable spell in Town colours.

His connection with the club continued through coaching and work with the academy before he took charge of the first team in 2012. He guided Town to the Conference South play-offs in his first season and again in 2014/15, when they finished third — their highest league finish at that level.
